The Meaning of Tantra

The term Tantra or Tantrism comes from ancient Indian language and roughly means continuum or connection. Tantra is a sacred and ancient philosophy in which sexuality is part of spiritual practice.

Instead of separating eros and spirituality, Tantra assumes their connection. A key feature of Tantra is the acceptance of the human being in their entirety.

In Tantra, sexuality is a means of self-knowledge and self-awareness. Space and time lose their meaning while the state of ecstasy slowly emerges.
