Why Do I Go to the Gym If I’ve Been Practicing Yoga and Tantra for Many Years?
When people learn that I’ve been practicing yoga for more than fifteen years and working with Tantra, they often ask me the same question:
“Why do you also go to the gym?”
My answer is simple.
For me, Tantra is not only about relaxation. It is about embracing life in its fullest expression.
I don’t separate my body into a spiritual part and a physical part.
It is one whole.
As my muscles become stronger, my body feels freer.
As my endurance improves, I have more energy for my work, my family, and my everyday life.
A healthy, resilient body can relax more deeply and feel more fully.
That’s why I don’t go to the gym to chase the perfect body or fight against aging.
I go because I respect my body.
Strong legs give me stability.
A strong back reminds me of my inner strength.
Good physical fitness allows me to stay calm, present, and attentive during long Tantra sessions.
Yoga teaches me to listen to my body.
Tantra teaches me to feel it.
The gym teaches me to take care of it every single day.
These are not separate paths for me.
They are one journey.
A journey toward health.
Vitality.
Mature femininity.
And deeper self-love.
At 43, I honestly feel stronger than ever before.
Because true self-care is not about perfection.
It is about being grateful for your body and everything it does for you every day.
